First, I would like us to get to know each other.
By building a positive working relationship, we will run your project more efficiently.
To learn a little more about your business and how I might be able to help, it’s important that you fill out a short questionnaire.
Then, we can arrange a discovery call. I will share my calendar with you and you can schedule a time that works for you.
Here is where we get tactical on what the discovery session uncovers.
Through a course of fun collaborative exercises, we will reveal all the essential information to help us build an effective strategy tailored to your needs.
A Creative Strategy will help you define and align your brand, understand your customers better and prioritize business goals. The outcome is a creative brief that helps to design the required solutions.
This stage acts as a framework to ensure that nothing goes wrong in the design exploration.
A lot of concepts are considered but, usually, only one or two will be presented to you — never more than three — and it’s rare when my clients ask to explore more ideas.
In fact, as the Creative Strategy has already been conducted, it often happens that a single design direction is an outcome. Concepts are carefully crafted and presented as a PDF file for discussion.
Various mock-up visuals are used to show how a logo or identity looks in context, such as on signage, stationery, uniforms or vehicle graphics. Feedback on how everything aligns with the project goals is necessary within two working days.
When the Strategy drives the work, there are rarely any major objections. Of course, there’s always scope for revision if required.
Everything is designed to ensure that implementation (the roll-out of the new identity) is as efficient as possible.
Clients are always reminded to get in touch if they’re unsure about implementation, even if it’s long after the project is complete. Some clients involve me as a ‘brand guardian’ for several months post-launch, where in-house work is reviewed, or where I act as a remote designer on a monthly retainer basis.
Each retainer includes a set number of hours each month. Brand implementation is a continuous process, which requires controlling the brand’s image and presence despite changes in markets and company structure.
